After buying the beautiful sea glass from Chloe, I After buying the beautiful sea glass from Chloe, I was intrigued to know what the meaning is behind Sea Glass, well it turns out it is quite significant and the colours of sea glass even have their own meanings. Of course I had to add the back drop of North Beach, what I consider my beach, living in the Avenues as a kid, this was my special place, so many shells, sea glass and pebbles, which to me are natures treasures. #seaglass, #beach, #treasure

This is a super quick and easy prayer to do to hel This is a super quick and easy prayer to do to help any type of past trauma, its a forgiveness prayer that the Ancient Hawainians have used for centuries. Whatever or whoever has caused you trauma in life, imagine them standing in front of you say say this 3 times to maximise the effect. Its so simple to do and works.
I love history, especially local history, I've had I love history, especially local history, I've had my eye on this antique book on etsy, its a history of Rudston Village written by the Reverent Royston in 1872 and dedicated to Harret Cassandra Rosville of Thorpe Hall. Its fascinating, it goes through Roman, Norman and Elizabethan history of Rudston. I had no idea that Queen Elizabeth the 1st ordered beacons to be lit right up our coastland during the Spanish Armada in 1588, it talks about the Monolith in the church yard which sits on a key ley Line, it also mentions Bridlington Quay, known in Elizabethan times as Bridlington-cum-key, The reason I'm so fascinated is that my Mother was born in rudston, in the 1960s she remembers the discovery of a Roman Mosaic in a near by field and an investigation into the Monolith to see how far it went down, which is still a mystery unsolved.

This is a proven breathing technique that I think This is a proven breathing technique that I think we can all do with right now, amongst all the craziness in the world, and what's best is that it is absolutely free, give it a go and see how you feel
I love this sentiment, I think it sums up Yorkshir I love this sentiment, I think it sums up Yorkshire folk very well, when we get together we create happiness through our friendliness, and our welcoming spirit, I have travelled the world and can honestly say, and maybe a little biased here, but East Yorkshire has to be one of the most friendly places, its genuine people, who are humble everyday folk, who love a good natter like Miss Bates in Jane Austin's Emma.
When I went back home to Bridlington in 2019 I wa When I went back home to Bridlington in 2019 I was absolutely horrifield to see so many wind turbaines now in East and North Yorkshire.
Wind Turbines are not only a visual isore, but they are an inefficent source of green power not to mention the infrasound problems that are well documented through science as having a severe effect on human health such as migranes, nausea, elevated memory disturbance, increase in blood pressure, sleep disturbance, dizziness, it effects our frequency and vibration that can also effect our organs too and wildlife health it interferes with birds and bats sonar. I don't know whose bright idea this was but these things deteriate over 10 years too, at a cost of 2.5 million each to erract, this is an eco crime, With a protected bird sancturay on bempton cliffs, I wonder if anyone thought this through properly. After 10 years the fibreglass blades break down, the poles rust out, especially on the coast and then they go back into landfill, proper ecological that one. If I had my way, these things would be removed right now, for human and wildlife health. I'd love to hear what you guys think, but I think its an absolute traversty with zero future gain. I encourage you to do your own research and then take this up with the local authorities who are responsible for such mindlessness, I highly doubt they told you about infrasound problems or did a proper risk assessment, let alone sort public opinion on the matter.
Happy New Year sweet friends and family of East & Happy New Year sweet friends and family of East & North Yorkshire.
Today, I thought this would be a little bit of fun, for anybody who loves crystals like I do, I have paired crystals with key historical towns in East and North Yorkshire inspired by each towns history and significance,
Bridlington = Aquamarine, inspired by the sea, its name is latin for seawater, it is said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea, the water element brings power of regeneration and rebirth, it is the energy of the circle of life
Driffield = Emerald, Inspired by St.Hildergard of Bingen who stated all the green of nature is held in an Emerald. With Driffields great agricultural heritage and a central meeting point as the Yorkshire Wolds Captial, Emerald seems befitting as its also the stone associated with the heart, and Driffield is the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. Driffield also has Royal history going back to Saxon times too.
Beverley = Sapphire, inspired by Beverleys Medievial history, the Sapphire was highly prized, to the religious it was a celestial stone from the skies, bringing hope, faith and wisdom
York = Amber and Sunstone, Amber is inspired by Yorks Roman heritage who valued Amber, it has mystical properties and regarded as the stone of courage, Sunstone was used by the Vikings to pinpoint the sun on cloudy days when they made seabearing voyagers, it was the Satnav of its day.
Hull = Green Aventurine, inspired by Hulls history of its commercial trading success, this stone is about abundance and opportunity, growth and prosperity
Scarborough = Turquoise, inspired by the history of this Victorian Spa town, Turquoise has the energy of water and healing #history #EastYorkshire #northyorkshire, #crystals
I love British Eccentricity, we do it so well, we I love British Eccentricity, we do it so well, we dare to be different, we dare to be authentic and we dare to be ourselves, Laura Ashely took a leap of faith and set up her business in the 1950s, she was pioneering in fashion, even today her vintage dresses are highly sort after, I have quite a few, they are so well made, so fun and so very English. I never owned any Laura Ashley clothes as a teenager, so I guess I'm making up for that now, LOL. #lauraashley, #eccentric, #fashion
